Recent political events have pointed to the fragility of social, cultural and international ties. Amidst the current re-emergence of divisions in Europe and elsewhere, artists are testing new ways of making connections, variously challenging the binaries of cultural and political difference, and exploring the power of informal communities and self-organization.
